HoA-REC and Hands for Waste host Burundian Minister of Environment

HoA-REC hosted the Burundian Minister of Environment and his delegates for a week of experience-sharing on solid waste management together with the foundation Hands for Waste. The delegates were shown the new sanitary landfill in the city of Adama and HoA-REC's activities on the Repi Landfill and HoA-REC presented about carbon financing in waste management. Hands for Waste will be working with the Burundian Minister of Environment on radically upgrading the solid waste management in the capital city Bujumbura, with potential future partnerships between Addis Ababa University and Burundian universities.
