The  Horn  of  Africa  Regional  Environment  Centre  and  Network  are  initiatives  of  the  Science  Faculty  of  the  Addis Ababa  University.  These  initiatives  unite  academia  and practitioners from Civil Society, including NGOs and CBOs, that work on the protection of the environment in the Horn of Africa Region (Ethiopia, Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya and at a later stage Eritrea).
